Frank Blair had 3 granddaughters with "Grey, Gray" as a middle name. He was a saddlemaker, gunsmith, wagonwright, and a carpenter. He built the first business building in Mineral Wells, Palo Pinto Co., TX plus he owned a saddleshop next door to the courthouse. Frank died Nov 22, 1883 in Mineral Wells, TX, Beetham Funeral. Home. Sarah's found paying taxes in 1849 on Fulton Co, AR land where she remained until 1856 when she moved her family to Palo Pinto Co, TX. Sarah's name appears several times on Palo Pinto Co, TX deeds. The last we know of Sarah is her signing a Palo Pinto Co deed in 1869. S U P P O S I T I O N O N L Y: Writer thinks Sarah's husband was William Blair, who was prob in the U.S.Army with residence in Missouri. Her ? Gray relatives had come to northeast Arkansas in the early 1820's and claimed several tracts of land. She prob had her own inherited property since she paid 1837 Lawrence Co AR taxes or maybe he was away in the army; Wm also paid taxes in 1837 and 1838 in Lawrence Co. The 1840 Cen of Lawrence Co, Lebannon twp, AR shows that the William Blair family "fits": 1221001---0010001-0. Father of these children is missing in the 1850 Fulton Co AR cen.
